Overview:

The easiest way to describe McElroy is by the term so often used when discussing QB’s. Intangibles. McElroy may not be the most physically gifted. He isn’t that tall, he’s not fast, he doesn’t have a strong arm, yet he finds a way to win. All throughout his life he has been a winner and for several years, dating back to high school, he had never lost a start. People say he is a game manager, and while he isn’t asked to put the team on his back to win, he does a really good job of not screwing things up and turning the ball over. He is clutch and when the team needs him he usually steps up. It’s still anyone’s guess to how he projects to the NFL but he is a hard worker that could stick around as a back-up for a few years before getting his shot to start.
