Overview:

Ricky Stanzi can be a very impressive QB at times and then other times looks awful. He has all the tools you look for in a QB. He has the size, experience, plays in an pro-style system, he has a decent arm, he’s a good leader etc. If he puts all of these together CONSISTENTLY he’ll be a much better player. His biggest problem is inconsistency. His footwork is inconsistent, his accuracy is inconsistent, he stares down his WR’s sometimes while other times doing a great job to look off the safety and going through his reads. He’s improved a lot in his Senior year and he has  climbed up draft boards. He has a shot at being a starter in the NFL.

Scouting Report:

Negatives

- Doesn’t have a good feel for pressure yet, will scramble when he doesn’t have too
- Holds the ball too long and takes unnecessary sacks
- Occasionally stares down his WR
- Needs to do a better job of looking off the safety and going through his progressions
- Needs to make smarter decisions and have less turnovers
